Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

Unsolicited invoice received in the mail appears to be a renewal charge. The fact that this is not a legitimate bill for services is not clear and requires close reading of the whole text.

Hosting your website with us will ensure your website remains active, that you retain exclusive rights to it on the Web, and now is the time to transfer your web hosting from your current provider to Simple Domain Host. Failure to renew your web hosting by the expiration date may result in website outages and a loss of your online identity making it difficult for your customers to reach you on the web.

Privatization of web hosting and renewals allows the customer the choice of web hosting providers when initially establishing a website and also when renewing web hosting.

Received letter from web hosting company using the name Simple Domain Host and Web Host Agents asking for "yearly shared web hosting" charges totally $180. The paper is clearly marked "INVOICE" with nothing stating that it is, in fact, not an invoice, but a solicitation for business, a fact that is only made apparent when you call their listed phone number and choose the option for questions about invoices received, at which point, a recording explains that it isn’t an invoice. This is a variation of the Web Host Agents scam reported to NYS ScamPulse.com in previous years, with an office location listed in Miami instead of Manhattan this time.

Simple Domain Host sends out mailing looking like a bill or invoice as if you are their customer. They charge you for services that they are not providing. Be aware since we are not their customers and they have done this to us. When you call them, they state that it is not a bill, it is an offering of their service.
