Type of a scam Tech Support

I received a message from someone claiming I had purchased a subscription for computer protection from Supremo 4 and that it was up for renewal. If I didn’t want it, I should call and cancel. The number was ***. I called and he said that it had already charged my account, but all I needed to do was cancel through on-line banking. I told him I didn’t have that and didn’t want to create one. Then he asked for my bank name, said he didn’t need the account number, just the bank name. I didn’t give it to him and hung up. My husband called our bank and there were no charges like this, and they felt sure it was a scam.
