Type of a scam Family/Friend Emergency
Scammer called grandparent and had a child or someone sounding like a child state that they were the grandparent’s grandson and that he was being held in jail for vehicular man slaughter and that Mark Burkman, a public defender, was going to call to set up bail for him. Grandparent was smart enough to call a daughter and had them call her back. After the daughter spoke to "Mark Burkman" it was clear that it was a scam and "Mark Burkman" disconnected the call.
