If you want that car, you better call them direct because ShiftAutoBrokers does not exist, except as a scam bank account where you can send your money.

I didn’t end up buying the car I was looking at here due to it simply not being what I ended up wanting out of a car, but I had nothing but a positive experience coming in and test driving with Von, the rep that helped me out. They were very communicative with me from my first inquiry and were very welcoming when I came in. I appreciate Von giving me a no-hassle test drive – he let me have fun with the car to see if I could really enjoy it within its limits without giving me a hard time or trying to pressure me into a sale. All in all I would definitely feel comfortable purchasing with these folk, they seem like an honest bunch who know what they’re doing – the s2000 I tested was a steal, but unfortunately just not what I’m looking for at the moment. Hope someone cops it!
Go ahead, try to go to the address to test drive a car. You will never find them. Google the address, they aren’t there. Call someone in the building and ask about ShiftAutoBrokers, they won’t have clue what you are talking about. These people don’t exist except as an online presence, probably operating out of a foreign country. Send them your money, see what you get in return.
They took my money and never delivered the car as promised. It appears to be an online wire fraud scam. My research indicate they are or have done business as Sportexotics.com, Shift Auto Brokers, Pro Motors Depot, SE Motors group, SE Motors Brokers. Probably more. I think it is a SCAM

I use my cars for work so it is important to have a reliable car. I came back last week and bought another car, the 2nd one, this time a Mercedes-Benz GL 450. The whole team there is great from owner Mr Kosower to Andrew and Michael were all great. They helped me with the car and all the paper processing and the work and took my old car back from me with credit towards my purchase.

I have been trying to find my dream Mercedes for a few months now, even went as far as going back home to Dallas to try and find one but had no luck. I originally found a car I really liked on FB from SHIFT Auto Brokers and I called right away. I scheduled an appointment for the next day (which was yesterday) and everyone was so nice and willing to help me. Peter, Andrew, and Michael made this process so easy for me. They got me into an E400 coupe which I didn’t even think was possible to get into but they made it happen. After a few hours of being there, I signed my paperwork. I was looking for a used Range Rover and ended up buying a gorgeous Maserati with only 19,000 miles on it. I absolutely LOVE MY NEW CAR and had one of the best car buying experiences I’ve had in a very long time. In fact this is the first time in 20 years I’ve been excited about a car. I took the Maz out of town for the weekend last weekend and drove it to the bay area, was a fun trip, and the new car made it even better.

I recently bought a Range Rover hse here. I have to say my experience here was a breeze. Let me start out by thanking Iman who did a great job. I decided to work with my credit union for financing but he worked directly with them and provided them with all the information they needed almost instantly. I want to say that he took great care of me. He even followed up with me after a few days of buying the car just to make sure I was happy with my purchase and if I had any questions about the car. I just bought a 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Supercharged. This car is in perfect condition inside and outside and with very low mileage. I took it to a Land Rover service dealer and they told me the car was in excellent running condition. They also reduced their vehicle price so I would be at a payment I felt comfortable. Purchasing this car the very same day was the least thing I thought would happen, let alone buying it in general, but it did. Found a car I was interested in on the internet & reached out to them on the phone. When we arrived at the lot we were greeted by Emmanuel who had a great smile, he treated us with kindness & respect. He tracked down the car & we were on our way on a test drive very quickly. That car wasn’t the one but he had two others for us to look at. We ended up really liking one of those. Then we requested the car be seen by our mechanic & we were very surprised when Emmanuel & Mike offered to drive it out to Livermore for us on the way to an auto auction. After our mechanic evaluated the car SHIFT Auto Brokers worked on the price of the car to accommodate some of the minor repairs it was going to need. I road back with them to Santa Clara, we did the paperwork in just under an hour, & I was on my way home with the car.
Above & beyond…is what happened the next day. I noticed there was no owners manual. Mike (come to find he was the “hands on owner”) found one for me and mailed it to my house within a few days. A friend who bought a car from SHIFT Auto Brokers in Michigan recommended that I sell my car through them. I had just moved back to Sacramento and I was pleased to see they had expanded to the area, so I decided to give them a call. Their service was pretty straight forward online and when I called, Adam setup an appointment to come check out my car. The appointment was great, Adam answered all of my questions and walked through all of the car details. He was very straightforward and transparent about every aspect of the process, which was refreshing. He was not only professional, but passionate about what his company was doing and the industry they were in. I explained to Adam that I was leaving a few weeks after to travel for 4 months and he helped me setup the loan repayment, deposit and everything else needed to complete the transfer paperwork for when the car sold. He drove the car away that night for SHIFT Auto Brokers to then handle during the whole sale process.
Once SHIFT Auto Brokers had the car it took about a little over a month for the car to sell. This included time for them to do a few minor repairs, setup the car on the website and the entire sale process. They provided a weekly update and Adam even reached out as needed to check in with me. Once they found a buyer, payment was prompt and the sale was finalized after 7 days (per policy). They even gave me and my friend a $100 Amazon gift card as part of their referral program, which topped off a great experience.

I needed to buy a car, but was dreading stepping foot into a dealership…too many horror stories. I found a car on Car Guru with SHIFT Auto Brokers. I really wasn’t sure what to expect; but I really liked the price and mileage. So, I made an appointment to see a 2017 Subaru Forester. After making the appointment; Victor called me to review and verify the time, and who I would be meeting with to take a test drive.
My husband and I were greeted by Bryan our concierge; he was right on time, polite, friendly and down to earth. Not at all a car salesman! (A relief). The car was ready, he let us take our time looking at the features of the car until we were ready to test drive. The test drive was great, Bryan gave us as much time as we needed driving around and testing the features.
Once we were finished, we went into the meeting room; a large spacious area with a few offices and tables. Not stuffy at all. Everything was done with Bryan; and this was the best part. No price negotiations, no pressure, no pen and paper crunching numbers and pretending to walk out because we didn’t like the price. They offer a protection package and GAP, no pressure to buy. A lady from financing called us to tell us the features; but never once did she or Bryan ask us why we made our choice to purchase or not. It was the easiest car buying experience and I would recommend SHIFT Auto Brokers and Bryan anytime you are looking for a car. I wish they had been around when we bought my husband’s truck 8 years ago!

SHIFT Auto Brokers is an interesting alternative to selling your car yourself.
I typically sell cars on Craigslist. I kind of wanted to “try” SHIFT Auto Brokers out, and I’m very pleased with the results.
Their model is fairly simple. They set a guaranteed price and you get that much for the car. anything above that amount the car sells for, they split with you 50/50. They do some repairs to the car at their shop (though their prices are pretty reasonable) which comes out of your share. The repairs and the inspection helps add value to the car so I was okay with it.
For me, I had 2007 Honda Civic that sold for 9k. Their guarantee was 6.4k. I figured I could have traded it in for 5k or sold on my own for 6 to 6.5k. They mailed me a check for 5.9k right away (this was the guarantee money minus the repairs of about $500). When it sold I got another check for $1.3k, making a total of $7.2k. This was at least $700 more than I could have done it on my own.
The process for getting the car was pretty simple. They came, looked over the car, filled out some contracts, and drove away with it. Ended up selling about a week a later. They were very communicative about the process, up until taking the car.
That is my one complaint with the process. We were told that we would receive constant updates about page views on the car, test drives, how the process was going. After the email telling us the listing was live, we received nothing. I watched the listing, noticed it went pending, and received nothing. I emailed SHIFT Auto Brokers and got a response that it may have been sold. A few days later and I finally got confirmation after I emailed multiple times. I was even told a check had been sent. I would have told them to wait as I was out of town, and the check was sitting on my doorstep for at least a few days.
Overall I was happy with SHIFT Auto Brokers. I don’t see a need to use them again myself, though If I did have another car that needed selling I for sure would use them. I got way more money than I could have on my own and I didn’t have to do anything. Hard to argue with that.
SHIFT Auto Brokers offers the convenience of bringing your test drive to you. I opted out and decided to visit their hub, originally wanting to test drive two vehicles. Called in and Dante set up an appointment for me. He followed up with text and email confirmation. On the day of my appointment I was running late and had push my appointment back (twice, oops). Called in the first time and moved my appointment back an hour. Realizing I still wouldn’t make it in time, I was able to push it back another hour via text. Bryan at the Commerce Hub was awesome, very friendly and knowledgeable about cars. He and Evan made the whole buying process painless. Thank you to Emily and Dan in finance. (Side note: found out an old coworker of mine works at SHIFT Auto Brokers in the Bay, Hi Ricardo!) Everyone at SHIFT Auto Brokers, y’all are great!

I had mentioned to a colleague that I was trying to sell my car, and she saw an ad for SHIFT Auto Brokers around the same time. She sent me the link just in case I needed it. This was right after I had gone to the Toyota dealership and been offered $1,000 less than I had wanted so I figured I would try SHIFT Auto Brokers before going all the way out to CarMax.
They did NOT disappoint. I put in information about my car and immediately got a call after I set up an appointment letting me know that they had ran my VIN and let me know that the quote would be about $400 less than on the website (my fault, not theirs) and asked if I would still want to keep the appointment. I said yes, and I was happy that they had called so quickly and were so transparent.
They confirmed the appointment a few times with all the information I’d need. The day-of, Hunter, our representative, came and did a quick assessment and took us along on a test drive. He was very genuine and kind. When we returned, he did a cosmetic check of the car and, after deductions but adding the $100 extra I got for selling the car at the initial pick-up and being prepared (which is a great deal!), I received the exact amount they quoted.
Since my car was still being financed, they made it very simple for me by paying off the loan directly and then having me log in to my bank to transfer the rest to me.
Their mission is to make car buying and selling a less stressful experience, and they delivered. I’m very happy with my experience and will recommend to anyone and everyone who mentions wanting to buy or sell a used car.
There are about 40 positive comments made today, about a little care dealership working out of Troy Michigan. Global corporations don’t get 40 positive comments in one day. It is a scam, stay away. Shift Auto Brokers will steal your money.

I was to have 7 days to inspect the car, then Shift would finalize the deal and distribute the funds. We signed contracts, communicated via email, they kept me updated on the shipping of the car. But the car never arrived. Since the delivery date, Shift doesn’t answer the phone. Shift doesn’t respond to emails. There is no way to contact them, although they recently updated their website. They have an address, but the Better Business Bureau reports mail sent to that address is returned as undeliverable. Other victims have visited the address and report there is no car dealership at that location. I could find no state business license on file with Michigan. If I were running a scam, this is how I would do it.
Andrew is upfront about his vehicles. No bait & switch or any shenanigans from him. There was an issue with getting current registrations decals from DMV, but he took care of it. He responded quickly to my emails on the issue and handled it in a timely manner. Thanks Andrew.
Came back today for a couple of small repairs – six months after my initial purchase! Daniel & Brian and the guys just fixed them on the spot (I did call to make sure they had the time).

Initial Review: Daniel and his guys are the best! I was watching this small family dealer for about 4 years – finally had a chance to purchase a 2000 chevy van w 66,000 original miles for my touring career. Daniel fixed every little thing that came up AFTER the purchase. Just great to work with! The one issue I had came in 113 degree heat on the run up to Vegas – Check engine light came on – uh-oh, I thought. I read the manual, emissions/gas octane issue – I put in higher octane gas as the manual suggested: light off for the rest of the 10k trip! That’s right: I just completed a 10,000 mile circuit of the US & Canada, drove from L.A. to Las Vegas, Utah, Colorado, Iowa, Mpls, Chicago, Toronto, Buffalo, New York, the Carolinas, Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and home! Zero problems! Truck ran like a champ! I love it – Daniel is the best! Couldn’t be better – Thanks Guys!

After a long 8+ hour drive, my two sons and I arrived at SHIFT Auto Brokers in a truck in which the air conditioner was not cooling properly. I was not planning to trade in the truck because I was giving the truck to my son as his first vehicle, and he was going to continue driving it up to Denton. The car I was purchasing from SHIFT Auto Brokers was meant to replace that truck.
I asked the individual who met me at SHIFT Auto Brokers if they could do me the favor of checking the freon level in the air conditioner to make sure that it was sufficient. He explained to me that normally, they only work on vehicles owned by their company, which is an understandable rule. He did, however, offer to take my request up the management chain, and he did. The manager agreed to check the A/C and reported back that the freon level was fine but that A/C was over-taxed from its extended use. That turned out to be correct, since the A/C worked fine after giving the truck an hour to rest.
I report this incident because while the rule about only looking at their own vehicles is understandable, both of the persons I spoke with at SHIFT Auto Brokers recognized that slavish adherence to rules is not always the best approach. I really appreciate that, and so do my sons.
I would like to add that this was not my only pleasant experience at SHIFT Auto Brokers. They were not at all like most used car dealers, who frequently sound like snake oil salesmen and make you feel like you need a shower after you finish dealing with them. To the contrary, every single individual I spoke with – both on the phone prior to going to SHIFT Auto Brokers and at the physical location – was courteous and professional.
I am also impressed that SHIFT Auto Brokers conducts a thorough inspection of the vehicles they sell. They gave me an oil change, new tires, and filled up the car with a full tank of gas – something no “regular” used car dealer will do. Perhaps most important of all, I obtained a fair price on the car, and I had no problems at all driving it back down to McAllen.
So, I would highly recommend SHIFT Auto Brokers to any person who is shopping for a good used car.

I’ve owned: exactly 10 Mercedes, Jaguar, Ferrari, Audi R8, BMW, Range Rover and several others. So when it comes to dealing with car dealerships, I feel like I’ve become rather expert – AND a huge skeptic of car dealerships!
When you buy a high-end car, you lose SOOO MUCH money, as soon as you drive it off the showroom floor. So the last time we purchased cars, we decided to purchase nearly-new cars with very low mileage on them. We bought an Audi R8 and a Mercedes SL63. And it turned out GREAT. No regrets.
So now it was time to sell those cars and buy two more. I happened across SHIFT Auto Brokers.com in my Internet search, and found the perfect cars for both my wife and I at the same place – SHIFT Auto Brokers.com. The cars are nearly identical to the same cars we’ve been driving, but just newer. A 2014 Audi R8 and a 2014 SL63 – both with about 3,500 miles on them. Even the same colors as our previous cars.
I got bids from several companies to sell our cars to. SHIFT Auto Brokers offered the highest amounts on both of our cars! And it was FAR easier to sell to them than any other company. Unbelievably simple!
And the prices for the newer 2014 cars was extremely fair.
I flew out from South Orange County, California to SHIFT Auto Brokers to look at and drive both cars. SHIFT Auto Brokers picked me up at the airport and brought me back to the airport.
I was extremely impressed with SHIFT Auto Brokers and their showroom. And without exception, every single person I’ve spoken with and dealt with at SHIFT Auto Brokers has been not only helpful and enthusiastic, but GENUINELY concerned about making me happy. Even after the sale they keep contacting me to see how I’m doing and to ask if there’s anything that I need.
They got me great financing! Less than 3% interest rate. I had no clue that you could do that with a “used” car.
No other buying or trade-in experience I’ve ever had comes even close to how great, simple and fast this was. Oh…and they shipped the cars from Texas to us at NO CHARGE, and picked up our two cars at the same time. And the nice young man who delivered the cars was fabulous. He was so very, very careful with our cars.
And not only do they have their guarantee – I believe you have a week or so to drive the car, and if you don’t like it, they will take the car back. They even told me several times (even after I’d purchased the cars) that if for some reason we decided we did not want the cars, they would come pick them up and truck them back to Texas at NO COST to use. Unbelievable!
Well, my wife is now also so impressed that she no longer is frustrated with me for talking about SHIFT Auto Brokers so much, and telling all my friends. In fact, I’ve already asked SHIFT Auto Brokers to look for a car for my daughter. I now would not think of getting her car anywhere else than SHIFT Auto Brokers.
I mentioned before that I’m a skeptic when it comes to car salesmen and dealerships. So if I was you reading this, the first thing I’d wonder is, “Why is this guy writing this review? Are they paying him…?”

Shiftautobrokers.com took my money and never delivered the car as promised. It looks like an online scam. They also appear to be doing business as Sportexotics.com and Pro Motors Depot and I have seen related links to SE Motors group.
ShiftAutoBrokers is dba Pro Motors Depot LLC. ScamPulse lists Pro Motors Depot LLC as a Russian escrow scam. If you are approached by anyone from ShiftAutoBrokers or ProMotorsDepot, run away. Certainly don’t visit their fake web sites.
I bought a 2008 911 about 3 months ago from SHIFT Auto Brokers and I must say it was a very pleasant experience. My previous car had broken down and was going to cost more to fix than it was worth and, frankly, it was just plain time for me to be in the market for a new car. My dad recommended checking out the cars at SHIFT Auto Brokers because he had purchased his car from here and had good experiences with the company.
Since my car wasn’t running, one of the salesman drove to my house to pick me up and bring me to their location in Rancho Cordova to test drive a couple of cars. I loved all 3 cars that I drove it was so hard to choose the one that would fit me the best. Alex the salesman that helped me was very helpful with breaking down the details and helping me make the right choice. The car had only fifty eight thousand miles and it drove like a dream. The only problem was the small crack on the windshield and they had it replaced the next day a mobile service came out to me.
They re-washed the car for me to have it sparkling clean with a touch up detail. I paid my cashiers check so there was no financing involved, took 20 min to complete paperwork including all the signing.
In all the time I have had this car there have been zero issues other than a minor headlight bulb that cost twenty five dollars. I purchased a reliable car at a good price and couldn’t be happier. This company will put every car dealership out of business if they had locations all over the nation. High recommend them to anyone in the market for a used new car.

I came in here because I found a Camaro ZL1 I really liked. Daniel greeted me promptly and offered me a test drive. He handed me the keys, put a tag on the car, and let me go by myself, which is amazing. I really felt like I could take my time and not just “drive a loop” and return with the pressure to buy right away. I absolutely loved the car. It was in immaculate condition. Daniel gave me a buyers order when I returned, offered me a great price on the car, and I went on my way to drive a few more cars before deciding on it.
I called the next day and left a deposit (which they explicitly stated was 100% refundable) because I wanted the car but wanted my tuner to inspect it before purchasing. Daniel said that was no problem and that SHIFT Auto Brokers actually encouraged that. After a few days and some soul searching, I realized the Camaro was not a good fit for me. The Camaro was insanely fast, fun to drive, but not very practical for me. Which I begrudgingly realized.
I called Daniel and told him I ended up with a new truck, and he was super cool about it. He issued me a full refund and was very professional about the whole thing.
Although I ultimately didn’t buy a car from them, I would HIGHLY recommend working with SHIFT Auto Brokers. It was certainly not your typical car buying experience. Much appreciated Daniel, and in a few years when I’m looking for another toy, I’ll be sure to give you guys a look first. Thanks!

You can buy a car from any one at this dealership and you’re going to be completely satisfied! They don’t miss anything and truly take care of you. They go beyond just sales! They take care of you from the moment you pull into the lot and even after you purchase your car/truck. I won’t buy a car from anywhere else, I’m now a life long customer. We just purchased a 2018 GMC Yuikon from SHIFT Auto Brokers. They are very pleasant to deal with and their prices are great! My husband has wanted a pickup truck for a very long time, and although we just purchased this truck today, I know he is pleased with the purchase. Michael made it very easy for us and was not bothered by the numerous questions my husband had about the truck! I would recommend checking out their inventory the next time you’re in the market for a great used vehicle!

I agreed to buy a car, Shift Auto Brokers was to broker the deal. I paid for the car via a wire to a bank account, and Shift was to ship the car to my address. I was to have 7 days to inspect the car, then Shift would finalize the deal. We signed contracts, communicated via email, they kept me updated on the shipping of the car. But the car never arrived. Since the delivery date, Shift doesn’t answer the phone. Shift doesn’t respond to emails. There is no way to contact them, although they recently updated their website. They have an address, but the Better Business Bureau reports mail sent to that address is returned as undeliverable. Other victims have visited the address and report there is no car dealership at that location. They have no state business license on file with Michigan. Based on my experience, I believe it is a scam website.
There is also a car dealership called Shift.com. It doesn’t appear to be the same company. I believe many of the positive comments for Shift Auto Brokers of Troy Mi are actually for Shift.com, but somehow they are ending up on Shift Auto Brokers review website. Your website is enabling these scammers.
Strongly recommend this company! I wanted to purchase a used Honda Fit, and had my heart set on a rare color and specific year. I found one that matched on Craigslist, but they were outside of SF and weren’t willing to meet me at my mechanic for an inspection. No local dealers had what I wanted… I found SHIFT Auto Brokers and test drove a Fit they had listed. The test drive process was effortless (scheduled day of and they came right to my house, and zero pushiness, since they aren’t commission based). But that Fit wasn’t a perfect fit, so I held out. A few days later I checked the LA inventory on SHIFT Auto Brokers’s website and TA-DA – my perfect Fit was there! I called them and they said they were able to ship the car up to SF to have me test drive it. Less than a week later, it arrived, I test drove and loved it and now I have my dream car. The price was in line with similar options for local dealers – a bit more expensive than Craigslist options, but also way easier and a safer bet.
Every single employee I dealt with, in person or on the the phone was clear, kind and helpful. And with the five day, no questions asked return policy, I was glad to be able to take it to my trusted mechanic and make sure it checked out. Mostly it totally did – just a couple minor issues (nail in one tire… low oil) – and when I contacted SHIFT Auto Brokers to tell them, they reimbursed me for the cost of both the tire fix and oil change. Also a huge plus that they deal with all the DMV stuff and paperwork.
After years of only buying vehicles off of Craigslist, working with SHIFT Auto Brokers has been a far better experience. Don’t have first hand experience with selling a car with them, but I whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone in the market for a new used car!

One suggestion to SHIFT Auto Brokers… I got a text after I chose my pickup date / time that said I was sent an email w/details. Well there was no email… which was a little worrisome. Tried texting back to the roboSMS and then tried the website robo chat which had no idea what I was talking about. Suggestion, either actually send an email w details or have a way to see them in the website transaction.
Once Holly called me all was well, but that disconnect and inability to reach a rep is probably driving your negative reviews.

After having a few issues with delivery service to my home I decided to head on down to the “vending machine” to pick up my new ride. For me the distance was manageable as the location was only 30 miles away.
I requested a date of 5/23/20 and time of 11:00 am for my pick up about a week in advance. (Filling out the paperwork online and getting approved was easy) I arrive about 15 minutes early and was immediately greeted by a SHIFT Auto Brokers advocate. He knew what car I was there for based on the timeframe. He made the process a breeze and talked me through it with great detail and professionalism. Although I had already signed most of the paperwork online there were a few DMV/REGISTRATION papers to fill out which took a few minutes.
Once all the paperwork was completed I was handed a coin to insert into the “vending machine” to retrieve my car. You can’t really see the machine in action from the inside of the lobby but they do have a tv showing the process. The car is brought down and does a runway like walk towards and even makes a full 360 turn. Then the car enters a designated bay where you can go to meet it and inspect it.
After inspecting and approving it the keys are handed over and you’re off! My particular vehicle had a few gifts inside from SHIFT Auto Brokers which was very thoughtful.

I’ve had an amazing experience we SHIFT Auto Brokers and I especially appreciate the customer service Lamarah Thibedeaux provided throughout the process. So first, as a young female professional I wanted to purchase a new car but I didn’t want to go through the hassle of being pressured into a sale by a dealership. With the digit market growing now-a-days we have access to information online that we’ve never had before. I like to do my research and it paid off this time. The initial sales representative provided me with the total rundown of the company, how the operate and what my sale would look like. I recently purchased a 2012 Porsche 911 from SHIFT Auto Brokers and was beyond satisfied with the experience!
I found the car I bought on Autotrader and sent a message to check availability; Michael from SHIFT Auto Brokers responded less than 5 minutes later! Not only were his responses quick, they were always thorough and helpful. I asked dozens of questions and Michael was able to answer all of them without making me feel like an inconvenience. Since this was a long-distance, sight-unseen purchase for me I wasn’t able to inspect the car the way as one normally would in-person. But the excellent photos on the the Southeast website were helpful in building the confidence to make the purchase. The last step before committing to purchase the car was arranging a pre-purchase inspection at a local dealership, which Michael had completed within 24 hours (impressive, given that this was just two days before Christmas). The inspection came back clean, and I sent Michael a reasonable deposit to hold the car until I could travel to Florida to pick it up.
A few days later I flew to Ft Lauderdale, and Michael had arranged for a car service to meet me at the airport and drive me to his building. When I arrived I was blown away by the car – it was just as pictured, no surprises! Rich’s building is really clean and nice; he runs a tidy operation. All of the cars in his showroom were really nice too; he is very selective about what he sells. We took a short test drive, Michael filled the car with gas, then we went back to quickly finalize the paperwork and send me on my way back to Atlanta!
I would absolutely do business with SHIFT Auto Brokers and Michael again. If you are an out-of-town buyer, don’t have any hesitation – Michael will take care of you!
Bought a car (27,000 miles 5 years old) sight unseen discovered on eBay and was naturally uneasy about the notion. Daniel was amazingly easy to work with and always available quickly. He answered all our questions, provided all requested additional photos, and video chatted to show details of car. We took a chance based off online reputation and Daniel’s word: wired cash for car plus $800 to ship to our home. The car is beautiful, super clean, runs great, and we took it to our mechanic and it checks out; they recommended new windshield wiper blades! We also discovered 2 of the 3 cigarette lighter charging ports aren’t working but still need to look further into it.
SHIFT is the BEST used car dealership in any state! Alex, is ” hands- on”. He goes above and beyond to ensure his customers are happy! This dealership doesn’t just sell you a car and then forget about you. The owner, Alex is an angel in disguise. When our car broke down, he brought it back to his dealership, had his mechanic fix the problem and charged the dealer’s cost! But I’m not going to stop there…Alex then gave us a loaner vehicle to use while the car was being repaired! WHAT OTHER USED CAR DEALERSHIP DOES THIS? And…what owner has this much concern about his customers?

I was looking to sell my 2015 Nissan Rogue and Shift Auto Brokers gave me the best offer compared to three local car dealers, who we’re also interested in buying my car. Mike inspected the car and then walked me through the process. After completing the inspection he presented me with an offer that was lower than the highest car dealer. I mentioned the amount the car dealer had offered me and also showed him the written offer of all the dealer. Mike contacted the head office and send them the highest bidders offer. Within minutes he received a counter offer that was slightly higher than the highest SD car dealers offer. I accepted and it took no more than 15 minutes to transfer the title and to receive the payment to my bank. Mike did an excellent job and made it easy!
I wire transferred far too much money. They claimed to have never received the transfer. Then they promised the car a week later. But the car doesn’t show up. And now they don’t respond to emails, texts, phone calls. Beware they are trading on the good name of SHift.com.

Andrew has done it again! I cannot believe this amazing man hasn’t built an empire of service centers yet, but I’m glad he hasn’t. The second I walked up he recognized me and knew it was time for my oil change. I told him I was moving and doing a long drive, and he said he’d check everything to make sure I was A-OK. You know that a business owner is honest when you give them the perfect setting to upsell you, and they don’t. He told me my car was ready to go, and gave me a timeline for things that may need to be checked in the future.
I don’t care if your husband, mother or neighbor’s uncle does all your repairs and maintenance in the driveway, give SHIFT Auto Brokers Auto + Tires a visit and you’ll be a regular for sure.

I am posting a review as a seller of my car to SHIFT Auto Brokers. I had already bought my new car and needed to sell in one weekend so sought out as many quotes as I could the week before. I got quotes from CarMax, Carvana, Vroom, Driveo and SHIFT Auto Brokers (with BeatCarMaxOffers.com as a backup to try and get more than CarMax). It really doesn’t matter who you sell it to, so everyone should go with the highest firm offer (thumbs down to Vroom who made a ridiculously low offer, I believe they primarily seek out only high end cars). SHIFT Auto Brokers provided a quote that was higher than everyone so I made an appointment for them to have first dibs. Before confirming the appointment I had made, they asked me to provide a picture of the vin number and then next day spoke to me on the phone about the car, and increased the quote by $100. SHIFT Auto Brokers used to be a consignment service (you lend them your car for them to sell it and they take a commission) but not anymore, as they adopted the Carvana model on a smaller scale (they buy from you and sell it direct to another buyer). Some of their bad reviews may have come from when they were a consignment seller, so those reviews should be disregarded.
The concierge Anthony met me right on time for the appointment (coming in a Lyft) at my apartment parking lot, did a thorough evaluation of the car, then went with me on a test drive and came with an offer with reasonable deductions from the initial price. There was no bait and switch, they worked right off the quoted price and made a few reasonable deductions. I did keep my car in good condition for the 5+ years I had it so it does pay to maintain it well when selling it (and providing both key fobs). I agreed to the price, signed the pink slip and his ipad, provided my banking information and was advised I would have the money deposited in a few days. There was a $100 bonus for selling them the car on their first visit. He drove off with my car and I received copies of the contract by email.
In the contract there is a 24 hour waiting period where they inspect the car at their base for any frame damage, title issues, rust and major mechanical problems (and unresolved safety recalls) before releasing the funds to you, so if you try and hide something serious they can return the car to you and void the deal. The next day I received an email saying the funds are being released and all is good.
That was easy as it gets. Kudos to Anthony who was very professional and his back-office support staff that made the whole process take only about 90 minutes. Sure beats me having to drive the car somewhere, then waiting and Ubering back after the sale. And yes I did get paid the agreed upon amount into my bank account on the second business day.
I would recommend them to everyone as a potential alternative to Carmax and Carvana. SHIFT Auto Brokers is a business that acts with integrity to car sellers and presumably does the same to buyers. The used car market is a huge business, and the more competition we have the better.

I have been looking for a car for 6 months. I found SHIFT Auto Brokers and had the easiest, smoothest, up front and detailed transaction in buying my car. Especially for COVID-19 still being present. I got to test drive in a Thursday, and Andrew, personally dropped off my Land Rover Supercharged so professionally. Was such VIP service they offer. Andrew definitely made the experience a 5 star. High quality communication in making the process so easy. He was extremely cautious with a mask and gloves on honoring COVID-19 and truly blew me away. My experience with Shift was great!
I’m rebuilding credit, so I figured that a service which sells pre-owned cars and can handling financing in one place would be better than getting rejected from dealerships after getting my hopes up or dealing with sales people.
I was in the market for my first EV, and I found some good vehicles that I liked, and read the CARFAX reports for all of them. There were also helpful pictures for cars which had damage. I kept changing my mind after realizing that some of the lower-range vehicles were just not going to work for me, and I’m new to EVs so the more I researched, the more I realized I had to get way more range. I really wanted the eGolf, but their eGolfs were 2015 and 2016 variants with only an 83 mile range. Realizing that this wasn’t gonna work, I looked for higher-range cars.
They had a very clean Nissan LEAF for sale in the color I wanted, 9k miles, one prior owner, for a good price–and I arranged a test-drive. I also secured financing for a decent rate despite my not-great credit. This process was exceedingly painless.
The concierge came out on time to my home with the LEAF and I test-drove it. We headed to a fast-charger station in case I decided not to buy it and the Concierge had to drive back. As I charged up, we inspected the car (clean) and started on paperwork after I agreed to purchase. The Concierge went over some features, but I already knew a lot about the car (I don’t buy cars without researching them). I wired the money over for my down payment, signed a few electronic forms on an iPad and that was it. Best car-buying experience of my life, and no haggling. I’m a tech-savvy professional, so this whole process made perfect sense to me, and Tesla is mostly online-only now too. So, this seems to be where things are heading, and I’m all for it.
Yes, Shift charges for this service but I’d expect that. The convenience and time-saved was worth it, not to mention avoiding aggravation with sales-shenanigans or dealing with endless inquiries and rejections due to my recovering credit.
All in all, the 2018 LEAF is fantastic, Shift.com made things easy and painless, and I’d do it again. Their financing department was very responsive and worked with me and my changing interests as I learned more about EVs, and they even refunded the deposit I left on a different car (thank you). They didn’t have to, but they did.
The car was clean and there was no damage (as-advertised) with the options mentioned in the ad (quick-charge option). All accessories were included, along with an extra key, all manuals, EVSE cables and adaptors, etc.
I’m enjoying my first EV and building my credit with a very reasonable rate…all thanks to Shift. No wasted time, no dealership shenanigans, no humiliating credit rejections on-site…just a streamlined process which makes a whole lot of sense in 2020.

I had a pleasant experience selling my vehicle to SHIFT Auto Brokers. I got my initial estimate online, and based on doing some of my own research, I decided the asking price was fair. Thus I scheduled the appointment to have someone from SHIFT Auto Brokers check out the car and possibly do the transaction. It helps that they tell you exactly what to be prepared with in advance to make the possible transaction smoother.
Everything was pretty straightforward and smooth.
– The person from SHIFT Auto Brokers came on time.
– He inspected the car closely and took it for a short test drive.
– He gave me the 2 legitimate reasons for a slight ding to the max estimate.
– He gave me an updated offer on the spot, which I took.
– The paperwork process was smooth.
– The only hangup we had was due to technology not cooperating. To make the story short, we hit a snag with electronic wire transfer, so we arranged for a check to be sent to me, which arrived safely.
In sum, because of the smoothness of transaction and the fair asking price for my vehicle, my experience selling my vehicle to SHIFT Auto Brokers was a positive one.
Could I have gotten more selling as a private party? Maybe. However, the zero-headache of my experience outweighed the little money I might have left on the table.
You could not ask for a more smoother transaction, bing bam boom it was done and I was on my way in my new Jaguar. Melanie and Daniel went above and beyond to get me in and out with the best deal. The atmosphere was clean and protection was worn at all times making for the least contact.

I picked out the car on the app and scheduled a text drive for them to come to my house. They followed up with me on my trade in and I submitted my car online and it only took about 5 minutes and got an instant quote. I will say the only negative comment I have was upon inspection they took off $400 for some body damage but it’s ok because they gave me $500 credit on the purchase of the new car.
They were on time in face a little early for the test drive and the whole process took about an hour. This is nothing compared to the misery of walking on to a dealers lot and getting hit up and sold on a car you know nothing about and then haggling over price and then sitting for hours as they print the miles of paper work on a 1974 printer. None of that necessary as it was all done digitally. I literally just electronically transferred funds using the link they sent and it was flawless and painless. The SHIFT Auto Brokers employees that showed up at my house were really great guys and I felt very comfortable with them. I had two only because one drove the truck I was buying the other was the one dealing with my trade in.
Honestly I don’t feel like all these negative reviews were very warranted which is why I chose to ignore them and I’m glad I did. I have such a peace of mind with my new truck. I highly recommend SHIFT Auto Brokers to everyone!
I purchased a 2016 Accord coupe touring for about $16K from Shift. At first when I saw the deal I had thought it was too good to be true as the KBB value was around $21K around the time of purchase. The experience I had in person was not the greatest, it felt as though the employees were very rushed and felt I wasn’t given much attention (clearly because I was intent on buying on the spot). I was offered $4500 for my 2009 Accord LX with 110K miles to which I declined.
I had the car inspected at 3 Honda dealerships and my personal mechanics, the car had checked out overall as a solid purchase. My mechanic was shocked to hear how much I had paid for the car, he assured me I made a good purchase. I was not recommended any services to be done at the time by any mechanic.
SHIFT Auto Brokersis able to sell cars for a low price because they do cut a few corners when it comes to maintaining the car. The car was extremely dirty on the outside and in the engine bay, the battery was basically dead a week after purchase, the car was missing an engine cover. However, they are quick to reimburse you for any issues you may have with the car as long as you can point them out. Make sure to speak up with any complaints, they do listen and will solve the problem!
At the moment I have an ongoing issue with the noisy struts of the vehicle, but that was to be expected with the mileage of the car. The issue appeared to be very common with the touring model due to the adaptive dampers. SHIFT Auto Brokers has been very helpful in partially reimbursing me for this wear item even when I had accepted that it would be primarily out of my own pocket. I am 3 months into my purchase and I would wholeheartedly recommend this dealership to friends and family.
As someone who has worked in Management in another service industry most of my life, I tend to have high expectations , especially when making large purchases. During this historical, surreal, at times intense era of COVID-19, it was difficult to picture what my experience would be in purchasing a new vehicle. I would certainly not have done so if it weren’t for the fact that my lease on previous car was ending, and I did not like the unwavering terms given for purchasing it. I waited til the last minute, yet came across SHIFT when I simply googled the specs of different cars I was looking for ( mainly electric or hybrid or a mix. From my first phone encounter with VICTOR, my indecisiveness did not deter him in any way, and he was very genuine and answered the too many questions I had with patience and solutions.
When I finally decided on my car, the process was seamless, efficient and friendly . GREGORY delivered my car to my previous lessor (I decided to drop off my old lease while picking up my new beauty, to save time and not burden friends to potential exposure by having to pick me up ). The process woulda taken about 29 min if it weren’t for the incompetence of the lease manager at the lot where I was trying to return my old car ( thus it took 1.5 hours). Gregory was informative, sincere, easy to talk to, patient , and did everything to ensure my satisfaction. He transacted via a tablet, which cut down any bs paperwork that I had originally anticipated.

After some shady experiences on Craigslist, I decided to look for a pre-owned car from a dealership. I didn’t feel comfortable with many of the used car dealers I had researched but I found Shift Auto Broker of Troy Michigan and was immediately into the fact that they have the inspection of each car listed on the website, so you can see any issues with a vehicle beforehand. Also its great to have the free Carfax report. Felt like all the cars were solid and reasonably priced. Had been looking for a car for a while and because of Coronavirus quarantine decided to try out their no-contact test drive. Daniel was our concierge and he was fantastic. Super nice, no pressure. It was raining so he hung out on our porch while I inspected and test drove the vehicle. We did the bank transfer and the paperwork on the spot and I bought the car (2006 Porsche 911 Carrera S). All in the prices are just a little bit lower than blue book but the quality is as high as it can get. Just to be safe I took it to my mechanic the day after I bought it (you have 7 days to return it and get refunded in full). My mechanic said the car looked really good and he give me the OK.
An overall great buying experience and I recommend this guys too any of my friends!

Sister company of S E Motors Group. Their fake user accounts circlejerk each other with reviews on Google, Facebook, the works in order to make them look legitimate. Ask for maintenance papers on cars, they can’t provide them. Look at the receiving party in the wire, phoney. The workers on their website are stock profile pictures of white people but they sure don’t talk the talk. Look at Google Maps, empty office lot. Ask the realtor, the office spaces are open and ready for lease! Stay the **** away!
I am unbelievably happy with Shift Auto Brokers! This is such a precarious time to purchase a car but SHIFT made it super easy. They came to my house with my dream car (sporty, low miles, well maintained, great gas mileage, and under 10,500) and I took it for a test run.
I fell in love with the car but I was short the 20% down payment and SHIFT made it happen! I started off with 9% (I have not the best credit) and Shift got me 10% with less than half the down payment!

I recently sold a car to SHIFT Auto Brokers. They were one of three businesses I requested a price from. SHIFT Auto Brokers came in with the the best offer. Second was Carvana at 8% less and finally Carmax, which was the worst of the bunch at 12% below SHIFT Auto Brokers. So yeah, the money was great. But the process of actually selling was a bit of a pain and somewhat convoluted.
This is how my experience unfolded: I filled in all of the car details online and within seconds received my offer. After I accepted, I received an email saying that they would FedEx me a packet containing all of the documents I’d need to make the transfer to SHIFT Auto Brokers. I received the FedEx on a Friday at around 13:00pm. I opened it, reviewed the documents and put it aside to fill out later. I then got an email at 430pm saying if the documents weren’t sent back THAT DAY the deal was going to be canceled.
I understand their eagerness to get the deal done, I had the same desire actually. But to give no advance notice about when the documents were required, and such short notice to inform you of the impending cancellation was a bit disappointing. What if I was traveling? What if I was stuck in a meeting? They seemingly gave no thought to the notion that people may be occupied and not able to review and sign documents and then run out to FedEx.
I called up and said I wasn’t sure if I can get the documents out since it was so late in the day (remember, I just received everything a few hours earlier). They said that if I could get it out that night or even the next morning, it would be fine. Luckily, after some schedule adjustments, I was able to get there that night and everything went out fine.
After the weekend, I received a confirmation Monday morning saying that they got everything and that the deal was moving forward. The next step was for them to find a transportation company to take my car wherever it was going. I was told it would take up to 10 business days for them to find somebody and they would let me know when it was all set up. The only requirement for my part was to receive a bill of lading from the driver.
Two days later, with no warning, I received a call at 7 in the morning from the SHIFT Auto Brokers pickup company. Yes, 7 in the morning. The gist of the conversation was “hey buddy, I’m outside with my truck, can you come outside, take out your stuff, take off your plates, and hand me the keys so I can get going”?
Due to my extremely tight schedule with work and getting kids ready for school, I told him I was not able to do that. I also told him that nobody called me from SHIFT Auto Brokers to let me know that he was arriving, so his arrival surprised me and caught me off guard. If they had given me some advanced notice and the courtesy of knowing what was up, I would have done all of the prep work the previous day. As it turned out, both the driver and myself were inconvenienced by SHIFT Auto Brokers HQ’s lackluster transaction management.
Anyway, I was able to return later in the morning and at that point the pickup was pretty seamless. Until I asked for the bill of lading that is. The driver didn’t have a copy for me, just a sheet he was sent regarding the pickup and he didn’t want to sign it or hand it over. He said he needed it, which I understood. However, I’m not giving up my car without receiving documentation. That’s just ridiculous. At that point he agreed to sign off but he wouldn’t give the document. He told me to take a photo of the document, which seemed like a decent compromise, and worked for what I needed, though it didn’t seem very professional in my opinion.
I immediately sent over the photo of the bill of lading to SHIFT Auto Brokers to show them that the car was picked up. I also asked them at the time if the transfer paperwork has been processed and if it was okay to cancel my insurance. This was around 10:30 am on a Wednesday. I was surprised that I didn’t get a reply the entire day. I followed up the next morning and asked the same questions. Again, no reply the entire day. At this point I was little annoyed because they basically took my car and nobody would confirm if the transaction was completed or not. On the third day I decided to give them a call. After a short time on hold I was told that, yes the transaction was completed and that I was free to cancel the insurance.
Why it took three days to accomplish is unclear to me. I have to say though, sitting around with no car and no verification of our completed transaction was not the most reassuring feeling. Along with the unrealistic and uncommunicated document deadline and the uncommunicated pick up details, it’s safe to say that there are definitely areas where SHIFT Auto Brokers could improve its customer service.
In the end though, the car was successfully sold and they paid the most money! That’s the real reason for my four star review. All the customer service imperfections we’re less than ideal, but money talks.
Contacted Michael @ SHIFT AUTO BROKERS auto around 11pm one night regarding their BMW M3 they had just listed for sale not expecting to hear anything back until the morning. Just a few minutes later I got a text back from Michael who I spoke with for well over an hour regarding the purchase of the car and going over the details of my trade. I was blown away by the professionalism and accuracy of the entire deal from start to finish.The following day I started Michael up nice and early requesting tons of pictures, videos, documentation, history, previous owners etc. Again without hesitation he got everything I wanted to me in very short order. This was hands down probably one of the best car buying experiences I have ever had with an out of state dealer. To be able to trust someone with a 55k dollar car purchase without ever meeting them is really taking a leap of faith, but what I can say is anyone who is considering purchasing a car from SHIFT auto will be very happy.
After all the paperwork was done, wire was completed, and details were ironed out came the shipping and waiting game. The shipping company they used got my car from Troy MI to central NJ in less than 48hours. When the car arrived and I looked it over for the first time the car was literally brand new, flawless Fully Detailed, and in even better condition than Michael had described to me. To go even a step further I made an appointment with BMW just to double check everything and give the car a once over, the dealers report on the car came back perfect.
I would highly recommend this dealer to a family member or anyone I know who is looking for a pristine specialty vehicle. SHIFT auto is trustworthy, easy going, professional and pays very close attention to detail.

Type of a scam Online Purchase
Responded to a local Craigslist ad about a Porsche Boxster S for sale. The price seemed low, but I had seen legitimate listings of same make/model cars listed on the various auto buying websites (Cars.com, Autotrader etc) that had been almost as low. Responded to the add via Craigslist email relay and received a very articulate response from the cars owner ("Matthew Owens") who indicated the car was available at Shift Auto Brokers in Troy MI (www.[censored]autobrokers.com). According to him, I could see the car there or have them ship it to me for a 7 day trial (similar to Carvana), in which I could reject the car for any reason. However in order to ship it, Shift Auto Brokers would need the money placed in "escrow", and the money would be refunded to me after rejecting it. Never wanting to put money down on a car I haven’t seen, I indicated I would make an appointment to inspect the car. Shift Auto Brokers sent me an application to fill out (name, address, email and phone) as well as asked I upload my drivers license to their portal, and I was told the car was reserved for 48 hours. At this point, everything seems completely legitimate. They even offered to Uber me from the airport. But I drove there, and upon arrival I found an office park. I went inside and there was clearly no signs of any showroom. I even asked the security guard – he had never heard of the company – but called his supervisior as he was new to the job. His supervisor never heard of it either. So he asked some tenants in the building – 3 different ones in fact – and nobody had heard of Shift Auto Brokers. And then he walked me to two different directories for the building, and there was no Shift Auto Brokers on the directories. I then called the number – and it wouldn’t connect from my cell phone. I tried several times, restarted my phone and nothing worked. So I had my wife call from our home phone – and the guy on the other end answered immediately. She then told him I was looking for him, and he said "I will go find him" and hung up. She tried calling back, but the phone kept ringing with no answer.
