Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan
I was contacted by a woman named Ashley Conner claiming I was approved for a loan. She told me I had two options to secure my loan, to either get a cosigner with a credit score of 750 or higher or to secure it through a collateral payment which was equal to 3 months of the loan repayment. The repayment was $150 a month so I was told to send $450 by moneygram to the loan officer Kevin Tilson in Ontario Canada. She then told me they reviewed my loan application and since one score was significantly lower than the other 2 I had to pay an additional 3 months’ collateral. She then had me send that to a person named Peter Evans which was supposed to be Kevin Tilson’s loan assistant. Once I sent that payment through western union she confirmed my payment and told me the loan would be released to my bank account in 15 minutes. After 15 minutes passed, I called back and could no longer get in contact with her. She also had me sign loan documents with my bank account number and routing number and send it back to her via email.
