Type of a scam Tech Support
I purchased a warranty for my laptop last year from Dell PC Support. They contacted me about my warranty expiring and did I want to renew. I told them no. I kept getting phone calls about my warranty and thought that I was talking to Dell. He said that they had charged my account and needed to refund my money. He said that they would not be able to honor the warranty and the government was requiring them to refund everyone.
I gave him access to my computer but did get suspicious. I checked my bank account and did not see where I had been charged anything. I started asking how much did they charge me and when? He would not answer me. He just kept saying that we can take the steps to get your refund. I kept asking how much and ended up getting 3 different amounts after asking over and over again. He had opened a Chase banking page and entered his user ID and password. I told him that he needed to get off of my laptop and he could send me documentation showing where and when I was charged and information about the refund.
He kept saying we can take the steps to get your refund. The conversation got a little heated and he finally threatened me. He said that if I did not get the refund that he would have to charge me $5000.00 and lock my computer up. He said the government would charge them a fine and in return he would charge me. He still kept insisting that I take my refund. I told him to get out of my computer. I turned my computer off and he asked if I was touching my computer. I said yes and he told me to turn it back on. I told him no and after a few more heated words, he hung up. I called the number back, 821-420-5323 and asked for Kevin Williams, the name he gave me. I was told that he had already left. I started asking him questions and he also hung up on me. I called back again and my number was rejected. I contacted my bank and told them what happened. I moved some money around and so far my account has been ok. I am still watching it closely and changed all my information. I have a few pictures but I was not able to download them.

Recording that said I paid for technical support and they are closing down. Claimed I paid them $299.50 and they wanted to refund it to me. Press 1 to get my money back or press 2 to disconnect. Needless to say I never paid anyone money for technical support so I hung up.
