I applied for an assistant position online via Indeed, a reputable job search site. I sent my resume and was contacted about a week later and they said they were interested in me for the position and to give them additional information such as address, phone, and, references. I began to be suspicious at that point as all that information, except references, is on my resume. I wrote back and gave them all the information, they sent me a contract, and told me that I would receive a check for $3395, $300 I could keep and the rest would go to a travel agent to book everything. This was an out of state job and would last three days and I would be paid $300 each day. It sounded too good to be true so I started researching. They were not listed on BBB, or on the secretary of states business website. I searched for the images they claimed to be theirs and they were all from a stock photo agency. The address came up listed as a house. I also researched the website and it was only built one month ago and registered via a proxy company. Glad I found out before I lost money.
