I recently received a cell phone call from a man named Robert Boice who claims to be an attorney in Dublin OH. He was asking for my husband. I got confused and ended up giving him our home address. I wasn’t all that concerned as our home address is public after all. The man refused to tell me what he wanted and said I’d have to ask my husband – my husband had no idea – we’ve never heard of this awful man before. Yesterday, we received a letter addressed to my husband (wrong middle initial) that claims this Boice works for the Ohio Attorney General’s office and that we owe $1909.00 and that if we don’t send it within 10 days, he will start legal proceedings. We do NOT owe any money to the state of Ohio and we have never even heard from the state of Ohio about this previously. The letterhead he used doesn’t look real – it looks like a photocopy. I have left phone and email messages with our local police department, the Ohio Attorney General’s office and now the BBB. I believe this is a scam.
