Type of a scam Travel/Vacations

We booked a vacation through Expedia and Delta airlines we received an email through Expedia saying our connecting flight was changed and we needed to contact Delta Airlines. We looked up Delta airlines phone number and found a phone number on a website that looks legit we did not carefully look over the website at the time, now that we look back but now we see it was a scam website. They were advertising themselves to be part of Delta airlines. We called the number and got a hold of a representative named Eric he told us that the only way we can keep our flight is by paying an up charge due to the government changing our flight due to the pandemic. He said the new flight we had to book had higher prices and we had to pay the difference which was $65 per ticket. We already booked our condo and had to have a flight and felt stuck. We paid the up charge, we never received a confirmation email or receipt. We kept trying to contact him again and received no help they would not answer our phone calls. We called from someone else’s number and they answered but couldn’t answer any of our questions about receiving a receipt or confirmation on my flight. My friend finally got a hold of a real Delta representative who said there was no record of the transaction Eric performed and no record of the flight information he gave us. She stated he did not work for them and was a scammer. The bank account used had to be deleted and the bank reported the transaction as fraud. Delta took care of our flight situation and made sure our flight was right. We immediately received a confirmation email on our flight from Delta. Attached is a picture of their main website and business called relax packages. They have made several other websites to look like various businesses. Delta and American Airlines are two examples of their fake sites.
