He said he does not call anyone just texted sounded fishie. I said I would get the money together and get in touch later. The horse was 3500 dollars. He said he would hold the horse for 1000 dollars. I said I hadnt even seen the horse. I called the phone number and he would never answer. STAY CLEAR ITS A SCAM

This is a total scam! Do NOT send money. Drove 3 hours to the barn address and it was a residential area!

It’s a total scam! Do NOT send money. Actually drove to the Corpus location—3 hour drive and it was a residential address. Something should be done to stop this fraudulent business.

Selling horses that do not belong to him. Uses other websites to lure you in with super low prices and complaint of multiple back injuries for reason of sale.

Rodericksranch.com has this gorgeous horse, Boytano / 12 year old Dutch Warmblood — he said he is selling for $5500 due to multiple back injuries. But his website has over 60+ horses for sale.
Not only that, Boytano has been sold recently by West Coast Farms. I tried to link the two photos but no luck.
Go to Rodericksranch.com (Corpus Christi, TX) on page 2 you will find this horse as they are listed in alphabetical order, Boytano! with the exact photos and video found on the next link.
Then go straight to West Coast Horse Farm
Northern California

[email protected]
Look under “Sold Horses”
And you will find Boytano, same photos and video.
Damn.

Just talked to the local equine vet. She said copy the horse description and search on it and you will find it was a horse sold elsewhere. They are NOT legitimate. SCAM!

Have tried to contact Texas Agriculture? Let them know hes doing this? I just looked up who owns the property and it’s not him! Because I was going to buy Bella from him. I’m glad I seen this!

Robert – Feb 27, 2020

this is a scam site that takes actual for sale horse classifieds and puts them on their web site–they do not ever answer phone and have used all the major horse web sites to advertise a horse they do not own
stay clear

They have changed the name of the ranch from Hendrick’s Ranch to Roderick’s Ranch. Same people, same scam. The ranch address is usually an actual location because if you google earth it, it exists. That’s what happened to the actual Mr. Hendrick. They used his name and address to promote their scam. Beware, always either ask to see the horse/ride the horse or if you are at a distance request a pre-purchase vet exam be done prior to sending any money and insist that you choose the vet and arrange the time yourself. I’m in Canada and was looking to buy in Texas, so that is what I did and the Vet Clinic Manager told me she had received dozens of calls from all over the States for pre-purchase exams on horses that did not exist at the address given. There are sick people out there so don’t be gullible. Get all the facts before sending any type of money that you can’t ever get back or trace.

I texted this ranch about a couple of horses for sale on their website. Once I started trying to schedule a time to come see/ride the horses, I got radio silence…Pretty sure they are sell horses that they don’t have to sell, hoping you are ignorant enough to send money first…

Tried to sell a horse they did not own from a ranch that does not exist. Wanted me to wire money before I even got to see or ride the animal they were selling. Called the local police department and they verified it was fraudulent activity.

This person advertises horses for sale that are lifted or boosted from an actual adv. from some place or person

they have tried to use several major horse marketing sites and have been removed

they will advertise a very marketable horse for cheap and say you must contact by text

how I know this to be true is that I have seen the actual seller adv. and then I see the photos and description on their site

they have constructed an entire horse site of horses for sale that they are just trying to get you to send $$$$ to them

they never answer phone

I entered the phone number on google and it says unsafe or scam if you check
