I received a missed call, called the number back and was presented with two options. "Press 1" to speak to an associate to claim the reward and "press 2"if not interested.
First, I chose option 1. I was connected to someone who asked for personal information (first name, last name, address, email, credit card for shipping).
Next, I tried option two and it ended the call.

I received a call from 281-806-5671 saying I qualified for a Reward of a $100.00 gift certificate.
I asked how I received this award and I was told it had to do with being a frequent shopper at a major retail store.
I asked what I had to do to redeem this reward, he told me a credit card number or Debit card #.
This is when I started to call him out on the scam. He became belligerent and extremely unprofessional.
I informed him that I do not shop at any major retail stores, I do not have a credit card and that none of my purchasing is associated with my phone number. This is an old scam and I am surprised people still fall for it…NEVER GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER TO A STRANGER.
