Website looks legit and promises low-priced corgi puppies, as well as high quality airline delivery. Upon inquiry it became clear that they had an auto reply and did not answer any questions, made up a back story to explain why they were cheap (including his wife’s "unborn child"), and had impersonal and strangely worded sentences. No phone number or address, generic pictures.

My daughter was looking for a puppy for her mom and nephew. She found a few sites online and contacted Val’s Corgi Puppies to purchase the puppy. They asked for $855.00 as payment and they promised to ship the puppy the next day. The money had to be exchanged by CashApp. I gave my daughter my debit/credit card to add cash to app. Once she did this after several tries and cancels the proposed owner asked to try his wife’s account. So she did and the monies went through. The next day they asked for $980.00 for air travel and special set up. Once they did that, I got involved. Something sounded fishy. I spoke to the man on the phone asking for a refund since they haven’t sent the puppy. He said he could not. I asked for a picture of the puppy, he said he could not. I asked again for some sort of refund…even if they have to keep the part they may have spent. He again stated he could not. He sent a contract with a fake signature, an incomplete address and with misspellings after he had the money. I noticed he was calling from Mississippi and not California so I asked about that and he had no clear explanation.
