I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 3 YEAR OLD FRENCH BULLDOG WHO WAS TAKEN TO THE ER DUE TO SEVERE URINARY TRACT INFECTION. THE DOG WAS PEEING BLOOD AND THE VET DIAGNOSIS WAS UTI. IT COST ME 800 DOLLARS AFTER DIAGNOSTC TESTING AND ULTRASOUND. THE DOG APPEARED TO ALSO NOT HAVE FULL VACCINATIONS AS WHEN I TRIED TO CONTACT THE VET, THE DOG HAD NO RECORDS OF VACCINES. ALSO, THE BREEDER WAS NOT ABLE TO PROVIDE VET RECORDS , HE SAID THE DOG "SHOULD JUST GET ALL THE VACCINATIONS NEEDED". IN REVIEWING THE DOGS BEHAVIOR, IT APPEARS SHE IS QUITE SKITTISH AND MAY HAVE INDICATIONS OF ABUSE. I AM THE NEW OWNER AND ALSO A VETERINARY TECH IN TRAINING. I HAVE WITNESSED THIS BEHAVIOR IN MANY DOGS WHO HAVE BEEN ABUSED. THE DOG WAS REPORTED BY THE BREEDER TO LIVE OUTSIDE AND HAS DUG HOLES IN THE DIRT TO KEEP COOL DURING THE HOT SUMMER MONTHS.
