Our company hired Mobie Experiential Trucks ("Mobie") to provide a branded food truck for promotional tour event held on 02/03/2020 through 02/05/2020. Mobie was also supposed to file all necessary permits with DOT for various locations throughout NYC for food truck stops. Payment in full, via check, has been sent in full to Mobie as their policy required such because of the proximity to date of the rental. The truck was due to arrive and Brooklyn Commissary NYC on 02/01/2020 for load up. When the truck didn’t show up on the scheduled sate, our producer texted with the driver, Matt, who stated they were running late and they will load up next day, 02/02/2020. It didn’t happen. On 02/03/2020 the truck was supposed to arrive at Jacob Javitz Center between 6:00am and 8:00am, first stop of the tour. When it didn’t show up, our producer started texting and calling the driver as well as other contacts she had for Mobie, however was not able to reach anyone. Someone suggested to check Yelp and see their reviews. That is when we saw that other clients of Mobie had similar issues and that Mobie was a totally scam. However, at 12:00pm, Jesse Sendhiz, sales person at Mobie, called and stated that the driver and the co-driver had been in a fight at a Superbowl Party and were arrested and in Jail. The truck was impounded somewhere. Never heard from Jesse again. On 02/04/2020, we received an email from Max Montille, finance/operations manager of Mobie, who said he was so sorry and would refund all the costs plus any costs we accrued in addition in order to execute the tour. Max also informed that Jesse had been suspended from Mobie for a week and that I wouldn’t be hearing from him. Max has also stated in the email that Mobie would be sending a refund via UPS on 02/05/2020. That package arrived on 02/11/2020 however it didn’t contain any refund checks, it included two (2) printed invoices. We reached out to Max Montille to inquire and he stated that he sent wrong envelop to us by accident. He then stated he would send another UPS package to us with the checks to arrive 02/19/2020. The package did arrive however it didn’t include any refund checks and only had two (2) printed invoices inside. At this point we believe our company has been a victim of business fraud.
It’s really a sad thing when people just report companies for no reason just because they want to cry about everything. If you’re going to report a company at least speak the truth I was the one that helped out with this project in Brooklyn this project was a mess from start these people had no idea what they wanted where they were going where they were stopping. we try working and all angles with them they had no idea that you need a permit to drive up and down New York streets they were told that they cannot go onto city streets without health permits or event permits. When we arrived in Brooklyn we went to the actually get something to eat and we went to go and relax and see the sports for a little while because we’re a day early the driver got into a brawl in the parking lot in the security call the police the police didn’t only take the drivers but also impounded the truck. I know that my employer took the truck out of the impound and was trying to get them to execute the project I know that all parties were upset but their client told them that they have found somebody else took some cute the project which that was a lie because nobody was going to go out into the New York streets without permits. I just wish if people are going to talk crap about a company that they will be truthful and tell the truth about what really happens not just tell their side of the story. My employer pay for the wrapping Printing and transportation from Washington DC to New York City now I ask you if you did all that service why would you give them a refund when they didn’t want to work with you anymore just because they have no idea what they were doing and they turned out to be just cry babies.
