After sending text messages and emails about a teacup yorkie, I called and spoke with a man. – he mentioned how he really wanted to give me the puppy and scamming people was bad karma and how he and his family are good christians- I didnt send the entire $400 deposit – I wanted more information and pictures of the puppy. He called me to walk me through how to add his cash app –when I told him that I was going to use the phone number he was calling me from- he said that the phone number wasnt attached to the cash app – and said that when I sent the money he would know and call me back to confirm. I sent $100 (after thought, I shouldnt have sent anything at all) and my information – name, address, and phone number. He called and confirmed receipt and then said that he would send me change of ownership documents along with the tracking number and flight information for the dog. He said that he would ensure I would have the dog by Saturday (I shared that receiving the dog would be a great birthday gift). The next morning, I sent a text asking for more pictures of the puppy to share with my family; he didnt respond as quickly as he had the day before. A few hours later I called, he didnt answer so I sent another text. he responded to the text telling me that he would get me the information. I still have not heard from that guy. I requested a few cashapp refunds – they were all declined. It was really upsetting and hurtful for this to occur so close my birthday.
