Type of a scam Employment
I received an e-mail at my work address on 9/5 asking me to be a secret shopper. I was informed that I would be paid $350. I signed up and received a packet through Fed-ex on 9/17 (delayed because the address did not include a unit number).
Packet included a check in the amount of 1583.71 I was to informed to do the following:
1. Deposit the check and deduct my $350 commission
2. Go to a Target, Walmart or Kroger (in our area this is a Pick ’n Save) and purchase I tune cards of $500 in increments of $50 or $100 increments.
3. Complete the write up, scratch the 16 digit label on the back of the I tune cards, take photos of the label (or serial number) and send with a receipt to [email protected]
