I received a call from J2Global Community or Committee. They asked me if I was sitting down and I asked who is this. They said you are the winner of $500,000 dollars and HSBC is going to pay the taxes on the money of $65,000 but they wanted me to pay $1,500 up front for the processing of the taxes for HSBC. I said I don’t have that kind of money and they asked if I could pay $500 and I said no so then he lowered it to $200. They said they were coming today between 9 and 11 to take you to the bank to deposit the check in my bank account. I told them this was a scam because you should never have to pay anything upfront for winning anything and end the call. The attorney’s name is Bob Newman.
