Type of a scam Credit Cards

I own a heating & air company, *** *** *** * *** Inc. I previously tried to report a scam and I think I did it wrong. I think I put my company name where the scammers should have been. I was first contacted by email from: [email protected], and then by text messages from 307-213-9687. They asked about a price for a furnace replacement in a house that they supposedly were purchasing in our area. they wanted to know if we accepted credit cards for payment. After several days of back and forth emails and texts, today they finally said what they needed was to pay $3300 to the homeowner before they could get the furnace replaced in the house, and if I could help them out by adding the $3300 to the price of the furnace and running it on their credit card. I became suspicious and searched for this online and found that it is a scam. I believe that is what is happening here. I have the emails and the texts if needed.
