I applied through Facebook jobs for this company named Jefferson’s Inc. All of a sudden, they replied saying it was a work from home position and that it was $30/hr plus $20/hr training. Sounds good right ? The red flag should of popped in my head because there’s no profile picture and I was going to get interviewed on WhatsApp, it happened, even gave me a website to applied to and the website looked legit plus ask me for ID after application and then they sent me an agreement form plus a check for the equipments. My stupid self is like sure and I guess it was just my luck that the check came out big and the back had no ink and that’s when it started clicking in, I looked up the company name and that’s what brought me here. I told them I am not doing this, I’m not signing anything and they’re like rip out the pages and I’ll take your name off of this and whatever.

Same exact thing is happening to me right now. Its horrible. They found me on Facebook saw my status that I’m still looking for work because of this pandemic. They are preying on innocent people who really need a job. I thought it was weird to interview me on Whatsapp. From the person who contacted me on Facebook and the other person on Whatsapp didn’t have pictures. Something similar to this happened to me years ago on Craigslist. I ended up catching the scammer. They want you bank account information n for you to deposit the check so they can steal money from a bank they stole those checks from leaving you responsible. All their names are different, even on the checks, the location of the bank is somewhere else n the address like in the past from the sender was an abandoned church. No thank you!

There are cold hearted people out there. Did anything else happen to you after that ?

Got offered a job at 30$ an hour to stay at home. Training was for 3 days at 20$ a day. They wanted me to fill out an application and at the end of the application they wanted a picture of you and your ID next to you. I did what was said to do on the application. After that they sent me a agreement email that they wanted me to sign and they also send me a check of 3,500 that I could only deposit threw my mobile banking app. for materials for the job. Why would materials be that much for a computer job? I asked why would I have to put money in my account why wouldn’t they just supply stuff for the job. She said cause I would own the materials in 60 days and that I needed to go threw their vendor with the check. I felt like that was really sketchy so I didn’t sign anything and I didn’t use that check where I had a feeling there was something scary about this. I asked to lady I was talking to threw WhatsApp and said this is a scam isn’t it? She got all defense and said they work threw the government? Really? I told her I looked this company up on google ScamPulse.com and didn’t see anything for Jefferson’s INC. I told her have a nice day I won’t be taking the job.

Legit happened to me today. Did anything else happen to you after that ?
