This guy went by the name "Sam Crater." He posted a job on Indeed looking for a financial assistant, and I applied. He offered $650/week. He sent checks for $3000+ to my house, and instructed me to cash the checks and take out money orders, then send him the money orders. He said that the checks were from buyers, and the money orders were to buy artwork from auctions. The checks started bouncing yesterday. That’s why he was pressuring me to move quickly. If you get a similar job offer, and they ask you to do anything involving exchanging checks for money orders, don’t do it. If it isn’t money laundering, it’s this.
