I was looking to purchase a rag doll kitten. Came across this website, communicated via email and text with the "breeder". I asked for three references and received 3 phone numbers-spoke to one person and texted another-no problems except one supposedly received her kitten late. I sent $500 via Zelle to the breeders "son" after the initial Venmo request would not go through. The next day the "Shipping" company contracted me and the shipper asked for $850 more -except when he texted me from a different number, he told me his name-which is the same as the "breeder’s" son. I told him I knew then that this was a scam-I told him if it wasn’t, then he could send the kitten and I would pay on receipt and of course, I have not heard back from either. Although I feel foolish since I had an inkling this was too good to be true, and I am embarrassed, I do not want others to fall for this.
