Type of a scam Tech Support

On Dec. 5, 2015, someone with a foreign accent (sounded Indian) hacked into both my father and mother’s computers pretending to be responding to a tech support request on behalf of Verizon. The person used the Verizon logo and presenting himself as a contractor for a company called Jupiter Support (866-804-1808), www.jupiter.com). The person said his name was Michael with the agent # 9183. He sent an invoice via email listing the incident # 28966. My parents each paid for their individual service with a credit card; however, the credit card company recognized the company as a scam. The scam has been reported to the police dept. and Verizon, who asked that a report be made to the ScamPulse.com.

Jupiter support sends out malware and virus. Then a number pops up to call them to have it removed. They then charge you hundred of dollars to fix and repeatedly call and want a monthly maintenance fee. Scam!!
