A consumer reported to ScamPulse.com that the first call she received last week was from "Jamaica American Money Corporation." They asked for her by name and said they knew her. They stated she was 1 of 850 eligible participants. Then she received another call saying, "You are the winner!" and she hung up. The next call stated the same thing and asked for $399. She said she doesn’t have $399, so the caller said he’d put in $299 if she would send just $100. Then an "attorney" called and asked if she wanted the money, trying to talk her into it. She received another call stating she had won $5.5 million and a BMW, and just needed to send $399 "to get the process moving." She asked where to send the check, and they gave her a Seattle address, a phone number to confirm the offer and a passcode of JJ9449.
