Type of a scam Credit Cards
Today I received a letter purportedly from J.P. Morgan Electronic Financial Services,P.O. Box 30223, Tampa, Florida 33630-3223. The letter listed a Customer Service #: 1-866-429-9710. The letter claimed that I had a Abandoned Account for a Chase Prepaid Card with a balance that would escheat by November 28, 2015. Since I never had an account with Chase, I contacted their fraud department and was told that the account # was not a valid account number, and that the phone number 1-866-429-9710 was not a valid Chase phone number. At the advice of the agent, I reported this apparent fraud to [email protected] for investigation.
