I received a notice in the mail a few months ago claiming I owed money to a local doctor for services from 3 years ago. I paid the bill directly to the doctor after being contacted by a legitimate collection agency 3 years ago. I have the receipts! So I tore up the notIce. had a message on my answering machine today from this same firm asking me to call. No mention of what debt it was. But I know I am caught up on all my payments.
