I received a call from this number while I was on the phone. Thinking it was a client in the South because it said it was a Mississippi number (Client is in the area), I called it back. The man on the phone spoke very good english but had either an East Indian or Middle Eastern accent. He immediately said my name, told me that he was from the IRS Criminal Division and then told me that they were issuing a warrant for my arrest, asking if I had a criminal defense attorney. I told him I didn’t and then he said that they were going to issue a warrant and that I should come down to the courthouse. I immediately said to him "I don’t think that’s how it works" and he then said "OK, I’m issuing that warrant, please come on down to the courthouse and have a blessed day". Then he hung up.

The interesting thing is that he used my nick name, not my real name so I thought that strange from the beginning.

The officer, "John White" left a message on my home phone. When I returned the call his name was "John Smith". I spoke to three different people, none of which spoke English clearly. He explained (very poorly) that the IRS had 3 allegations against me:

1. Violation of the IRS act

2. Violation of the US citizen immigration act

3. Providing misleading information to a government agency
