Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Someone posing to represent the hiring authority of IQ Solutions presented employment recruiting/offer via email claiming they reviewed and selected my resume from nationaljobbank.com. Several emails regarding the position description and my availability followed by an "Offer Letter". Although I did not accept the position and requested time of my own to research the offer a FEDEX envelope with the next step in the "employment opportunity" was received. In the envelope was a check for $1,995.85 for the purchase of materials to support said company establishing itself in the San Antonio area operating as DATA ENTRY SPECIALIST duties. I researched extensively via the internet as well as made calls to vendors of said company. IQ Formulations had no negative reputation what so ever. Only positive feedback. It seemed legitimate. The check is a Cashiers check from a legitimate UnionBank in California and the teller I spoke to actually validated the account as well as the check number. I then took this information to my personal banker and we reviewed the materials against his knowledge and experience. The check is fraudulent. I have since contacted UnionBank and informed them as well.
