"Seller" was selling a 2011 Chevy Duramax at price that was too good to be true and it was. Her sob story was that she was recently stationed in Alaska and had to deploy to Iraq and needed to sell her truck. Iowa Vehicle Shippers would be delivering the vehicle and I would have 5 days to drive it, but I would have to wire money to them and then it would remain in escrow. The shipping company couldn’t give me any license number. I asked seller for a VIN so I could get a carfax report, the seller sent me a carfax report with a fake VIN. And the address for the shipping company pulled up as an empty lot on google maps. The shipping company sent an invoice that looked legitimate.

I found a car on craigslist.com that was too good to be true…and I fell for it. The car was a 2016 altima for sale for $5700. When I contacted the number on craigslists I was told that he had posted the car for his aunt and gave me her email address to contact. I did and was told that she was in Texas training to leave for South Korea and needed to get rid of the car. She also said that her husband had died two months before and that the car had too many memories associated with it. She said that she thought she had already sold the car but the sale fell through. She was willing to send me the car through Iowa Vehicle Shippers, at her cost, for me to inspect for five days. The only catch was that I needed to send the $5700 to an escrow account with Iowa Vehicle Shippers in order to initiate the transfer of the car.

Answered ad on craigslist. Nice pictures of truck and nice price. Asked for email address and then sent story about being in military and being transfered then sent overseas. Wanted address and phone # to give to Iowa vehicle shippers. They sent invoice. Looked up address and was vacant water drainage ditch. Also only wanted to use wire online money transfer. Suspicious after read online warning from ScamPulse.com sounded very similar except lady said was in military and being transferred overseas and had to sell. Also why use transport company in Iowa when she is based in Omaha
