I called for computer technical assistance, reached Techs named Roy and David. speaking broken English. asking them to fix my computer and they agreed. Said computer was old and server had issues. Requested to purchase $200 Google play gift card to test if server would allow to go thru. had to go to Walgreen’s and buy gift card.They held me on home phone, while wife purchased cards with other tech holding her on cell phone. Wife scratched off back gave activation code, Roy came back said code was invalid. sent back in for 2 $100 gift card. claimed they were invalid codes. Then asked me to go to Kroger’s and purchase additional ones. I refused, Roy reassured he would reimburse all money. he said payments could only be sent in $1000 payments. Purchased additional cards, this time I Tunes. Purchased total $1400 in cards, he gave $100 for trouble, but had to get$500 more for their refund. David (supervisor) emailed cashier’s check for $2090.00.
we copied, proved to be bogus/fraud check. They tried to continue with scam but we refused. they became extremely angry. They cancelled check. WE WERE SCAMMED OF $2000.00.
