Type of a scam Tech Support
Got a call from a HP tech support telling me that I had some unusual issues on my laptop and can possibly have viruses. They had every part of my information from name and phone number to the month day and year that I paid for my laptop. It seemed pretty legit until they told me I had to pay $300.00 in a ITunes gift cards but will receive it back. They claim the cards didn’t wok and wanted me to go to another retail store and take out another 300.00. That’s when the red flag came up. Foolish of me, I new something was up when they kept calling trying to convince me that this needed to be done.
I called HP and they said yes, it is a scam since we only ask you for debtor credit. Lesson learn learned here and a very costly one at that. Fooled me once, that’s the last time!
