Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I received a check in the mail from a business claiming to be called Investec Financial. In the letter, they told me that I won 2nd prize, and I got a check for $2,870. All I had to do was deposit the check, but would be charged a processing fee of $2,510. I would also have to call the number (877)-456-4336 and speak to a "Julia Vander" and confirm that I cashed the check. From there, they would send a person to my house with a new check for a larger sum, which was my "grand prize".
