Type of a scam Employment
A person claiming to work for this company contacted me by text message, did an interview that seemed real on Google Hangout chat, and then an hour later recontacted me saying that they would like to hire me. The individual then electronically sent me a check for over a thousand dollars for supplies that I would need for the job. My mobile banking app would not accept the check. I then looked up the bank used for writing the check and called them to verify the account and if there are sufficient funds in the account to cover the amount of the check and there wasn’t.
