Type of a scam Employment
I applied for an Admin Personal Assistant position on indeed.com. Two days later, I received a text saying the company received and revewied my resume and for me to email [email protected] to confirm my interest. I do so and 5 minutes later I receive an email explaining the nature of the company and job position. I was offered $520 to work 15 hours a week for only 3 days. I noticed that there was no office address or phone number at the end of the email so I grew suspicious about the company. I couldn’t find a company website but I did find a write up about Josh Fear. I received a second email, 5 minutes later, saying congratulations, you’ve been offered the job. I haven’t signed anything or had an interview but they already wanted me to start my first assignment. That’s when I knew it was a scam. They wanted to send me a check and I took out my weekly salary and used the rest of the money to buy toys for an orphanage. I first had to confirm my name and mailing address before they sent the check. I did not respond.
