Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I received an envelope (priority mail) by some guy named: JONATHAN SMITH, ARLINGTON, TX. KOUNTZE TX. 77625.
In the envelope I found a"check" in my name to collect $2,850$ by "Helfrich Constructions, LLC", 2101 Paseo Del Monte, Santa Fe, NM 87501.
The check is supposed to be connected to an account opened by "Los Alamos National Bank", 301 Green Street, Santa Fe, NM 87501. ( their account number on the check is: *** *** *** ** )
I have already spoke with an office manager from that bank and he reassured me, that this check is definitely a SCAM and I mustn’t cash it out…
I never have worked or cooperated with any company or employer outside NY and no one owes me any money. Therefore that’s definitely a SCAM!!!
Please, make sure you stop these scammers the soonest possible before they harm more innocent people.
(P-S: My address on the envelope is my old address and it was strictly confidential, but I don’t even live there for more than 5 months now, so I can’t understand how "they" found it!!!!)
