Type of a scam Online Purchase
I was looking to buy a specific model of television online, and have it delivered to someone else. I used the Google shopping feature, and selected what looked like the best price.
Things I should have been aware of, but wanted too much for this to be ‘just a great deal’: the price was much lower than all other offers. The testimonials and reviews posted on the website were all very odd (and that youtube channel has since disappeared). After beginning the purchase process they then requested payment via Playstation gift card, which I stupidly complied with. I couldn’t find any information out about the company, despite their claims of having been around for years. The website and any information referencing it have all disappeared in the last few days.
