Type of a scam Counterfeit Product
Horseweb.com, has allowed someone to post PAGES and PAGES of the same ad, selling the same horse, but just changing the location of where it’s being sold. Use key word search "Stunning Bay Gelding" on Horseweb.com. Same pictures and everything. I didn’t realize this until after I provided lots of personal information, in hopes of adopting a horse that was "on paper" a perfect fit for our family. I have requested to meet with the owner and exchange part of the money when we meet, and the rest when it’s delivered, I haven’t heard back yet. However, in the meantime….I’ve made this troubling discovery. I hope I don’t fall victim to this person or people via identity theft. I sent an email to the website (to report the scam) and it came back undeliverable…so it makes me wonder if they’re even a real site or just the scammers operation. I have no idea. The site cannot manage it’s sellers very well to have this many identical ads, slip past them.
I have text messages, emails and screen shots of the ads. This is a very troubling situation….and I hope nobody else falls victim to them.
