This company contacted me by letter and offered me, a senior citizen, a ridiculously low amount of money for a parcel of land I have no interest in selling. They stated in their letter that they found the information at the assessor’s office. This happened at the end of April, 2020, during the covid19 pandemic. My concern is that they’re attempting to obtain property for an unfair price, during a national crisis. At least in this instance, the unsolicited letter offered roughly 10% the value of the land, and, in my opinion, was an attempt to swindle a senior citizen out of their property.
