So I am a victim too. coming from New York I should have known better. I spoke with Eric he rushed me to hold a spot to be moved..That was a red flag..he needed to go because he was in the middle of a move. I told him I needed to line up movers so he said send $90.00 through cashapp to save a spot and I did. He said an email will be sent. That was a week ago. I’ve been calling I’m mad at myself because I usually do my research first. I never send money unless I get something in writing. I’m made so I’m going to reach out to cashapp to shut his account down he’s a scammer..
A guy identifying himself as Eric with Hero Movers is definitely a scam. In a rush to hire movers on a specific day, I came across his craigslist ad. He asked for a $90 deposit upfront and I sent it via cash app. He took my information as if he was a legit moving company and informed me that I would get an invoice by email. I waited hours for the invoice and never received anything. When I tried to contact him, he would not respond. Please do not pay this scam artist any money! Do your research first! He will he reported!

I called the listing and immediately a gentleman answered. He informed me that they can come out that day to move me providing 2 men for $90 for 2 hours; which was sufficient. He then asked for the funds upfront prior to them coming to my home which I was reluctant at first but sent through CashApp. I waited for 2 hours for them to arrive and they never showed up to my home to move me. I called, texted, and left messages and the gentlemen I initially talked to would hang up or not respond. I even had other family members try to reach out and no response. I do not recommend using their services.

I was moving a box spring from Halifax to Dartmouth. I was quoted $65 per hour and when they arrived they said $150 for a min of two hours! I told them the pick up and delivery is within the hour and should not be charging me $150. They said “we told you” I asked them to go back to the text messages where they said $150 and they couldn’t even do that.
