Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I was contacted via e-mail by ´Joel´ stating he represented this company and wanted to interview me for a Office Manager position in their new Miami office. I was later called and participated in what appear a legitimate job interview. A few days later I received an e-mail informing that I had been selected for the position (suspicious, being selected after only 1 phone interview). I was then contacted again by Joe and he informed me of my supposed duties as office mgr., some dates of the upcoming job, and that I would receive a $4,900 check to purchase office equipment (very suspicious, as they can order online, plus they barely knew me!). A few days later I did receive a Cashier´s check, and a call from ´Joe´ urging me to promptly deposit it into my account; as it was all very suspicious, and without depositing it into my account I called the issuing bank and was informed that the check was not issued by it (the bank), it was in fact fake. After advising ´Joe´ about the situation I never heard back from him. I suppose the scam involves them sending a fake check, urging you to proceed with the office equipment purchases with your own money and then, after you sent the equipment to the address they tell you, they disappear. It is interesting that they do have a web page (though it was created only last November), as well as a private domain for their e-mails. Still, it is a fraud; Beware!!
