Victim Location 90732
Type of a scam Identity Theft
I was contacted via email about my recent for sale post. Instead of taking the VIN history report I provided, the person requested that I hop on a more "reliable" site and sent me a link to enter my personal information.
What caught my eye was a request for something the person could have ordered themselves. Another caution was that the link was different than what the person typed it to be.
Here is the verbatim of the language – please be careful!!:

Thanks but I used to generate VIN reports from instavin company but I don’t trust them at all. It didn’t display a big accident I’ve been involved in when I was selling my last bike. I’ve discovered much reliable report on usainsightscheck.com and I’d like to see this one before I get there so we could remove any skepticism. If everything is clear with it, we can proceed with the deal and you can add cost of the report to the bike price.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon, Shawn
