These people are supposedly Havanese Breeders out of Chesapeake Virginia.
You initially contact them via website (https://www.healthyhavanesehome.com/) and they use email ([email protected]) as a means of communication after that.
When doing a reverse phone search on the phone number provided on the website 571.441.2451 is registered to a
Marvin Mensah (age 31)
2364 Battery Hill Circle Woodbridge Virginia 22191-6514
Landline 703.583.1481
They send you pictures of your dog, ask for a summery about you as a dog owner, then you proceed to information regarding putting a deposit down on the dog. They ask you your personal information so they can set up AKC paperwork and shipping information.
They gave me a choice of what company to use MoneyGram or Western Union, I used Western Union to transfer a deposit of $300 with a processing fee $12.50 totaling $312.50. This was transferred to a Garrie Welback, Chesapeake VA 22244.
After about a week they email you back informing you of travel information regarding the dog and that is when they ask for the final payment of the dog. Again I used Western Union, a transfer of $300 after the processing fee it totals $312.50 going to the persons "brother" Deland Malik, Chesapeake VA 22244.
Then they will tell you that a delivery service will contact you in regards to your dog’s airline travel. This delivery system is also a scam. Universal Carriers (u-carriers.com email: [email protected] Phone 703.634.6676) they required I rent a thermal dog crate due to the “weather conditions” and needed to put a deposit down and they said it would be refunded once I got the dog. They told me that I needed to use MoneyGram, Walmart transfer or credit card but the credit card was the only option that was not refundable. This was when I realized this whole thing is a scam. They wanted me to send money for a thermal crate $1200, $910, or $750 to a Rondall Nelson, Roanoke Virginia, 24026.
I called the 703.634.6676 phone number and got a person who barely spoke English. There was children in the background of the call and he kept telling me that I had to pay for the thermal crate in order to get any flight information. I asked to speak to a manager or a supervisor and he said he was the supervisor.
I then tried calling the original phone number (571.441.2451) that they gave me and they refused to answer only text. The voicemail for this number was recorded as a different person (female) and when doing a reverse phone search on the phone number listed on the website is listed under Marvin Mensah, 31 years old, landline 703.583.1481, 2364 Battery Hill Circle Woodbridge VA 22191-6514. When this phone number called back it came up under Herndon Virginia.
After that the person never emailed or texted me again. Upon further research none of the people listed are AKC registered and none of the dogs listed on their website are AKC registered.
I found them online at healthyhavanesehome.com

I purchased a puppy. Quoted free shipping, when supposedly at the shipper(Universal Carriers) I was contacted by them that they needed$910 for a special thermal crate even thou it would be shipping in the cabin with a pet nanny.I informed one seller this was not in our agreement and that I didn’t have that kind of money. He stated it would be refunded back too me after delivery they would only take money gram and not a debit card. I suggested that he should pay the fee and he stated he could only pay half and I should pay the rest. I told him no, this was nowhere mentioned in our agreement and that I wanted a full refund of my $650 since he did not disclose this extra shipping cost and falsely advertised the shipping charge. I have not heard a word from them for 4 hours now.
