Mepco, an affiliate of Hard Tack, Inc., has contacted my mother via mail and phone to convince her that she needs to purchase an auto warranty. We have canceled her policies with them on 4 separate occasions and they continue to claim that she is purchasing policies. They have admitted that they are aware that she has cognitive processing problems and claim that she must be forgetting that she is authorizing payments from her checking account. There have also been counter checks written to Hard Tack, Inc., which they will not explain. Our family has made it clear that she does not need this "coverage", and that she/we do not wish to be contacted again. However, they continue to withdraw funds from her, claiming that she authorized the transactions. It is our firm belief that this company and its affiliate, Mepco are exploiting the elderly. Based on other reviews, our testimony is not unique, and these companies continue to prey on the elderly/mentally feeble population.

They say I purchased an auto protection that I did not (by phone)the only way to cancel is by letter. They say that they will sue an wreck my name if l don’t pay the total bill all ready charged my credit card.called an canceled credit card. No signature from me just phone call ? Did’get…call
