I saw an add for a sale on hydroflasks on Instagram and when I clicked on it, it brought me to what I thought was the real hydroflask website. I purchased 2 hydroflasks “on sale” for about $68. My credit card was later charged about $72 which was more than the listed price. The charge also listed the recipient as some company in China with a name related nothing to hydroflasks. At this point, I went back to the website I purchased from and realized two of the letters in the site were transposed so it was www.hydroflsaks.com not www.hydroflasks.com. I locked my credit card and the next day I got a notification stating that someone tried to use my locked card information in a different state. A month and a half later I received an email from their customer service saying that my payment was cancelled. They said the original price was $68 but I could send them $62 via PayPal for the hydroflasks. In summary, they used a scam website to over charge my card for a purchase, stole my credit card information, then asked that I send them a random amount via PayPal a month and a half later.
