Type of a scam Online Purchase

I placed an order for a product that was advertised as a “special”. I placed the order on July 25, 2017, and it was paid for same day. I emailed the company in September requesting an update to which they told me it would be a while because it was coming from out of the country. I’ve contacted them again since then on sever occasions and got no answer. Now here we are in March of 2018, no package, no responses, and now my “order status cannot be found”.
