I received a text message from Ms. Kem Danner, HR & Hiring Manager with Global State Street Advisors. She stated that she received my resume and wanted to setup an interview. Since I had been sending out resumes I thought that perhaps she received it through a recruiter. I asked for details on where she received my resume and details about the position and she said that she’s send the details via Gmail. I gave her my gmail email address then she replied and said that she specifically needed to talk via Hangouts (or Google Talk). Attached is the online chat/interview that transpired.

It was all extremely suspicious and cautious from the start but I did research the company and her online and they seemed to be legitimate. I was skeptical for the following reasons: She would never answer where she received my resume or what the job would entail. She asked for my banking information, which I would not provide. I balked at their lower salary, they accepted my salary requirements within a few minutes. I was offered the job with a six figure salary after a few simple questions via online chat. I didn’t believe any of this for one minute.

Ms. Danner texted me again several weeks after the online interview. It was the exact same as the initial text message that was sent to me. This time I did not respond.
