Type of a scam Phishing
I was called from this NYC number by an American voice, and then transfere to an individual with a heavy Indian accent and was told his name was Steve Marshall. I had asked him to give me the name of the company and a call back number and he didn’t want to give me any information. But once I receive a supposed headquarters number he hung up the phone. I immediately called the number given and they claimed to have zero affiliation and I could only provide the with the number on my caller I’D, the name of their company and the man I spoke with.
I gave them my name and home address and they asked me if I had good credit and I told them I had horrible credit and that’s when they tried to rush me off the phone. So I could possibly be subjected to identity theft, so I’d appreciate a hasty response so I know if I’m safe or if I have aided in saving people from a scam.
