Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I was contacted via Facebook Messenger by who I thought was a friend. Person had hacked my friend’s account. They are claiming that they received a check from GoFundMe from some national drive and said they saw my name on some winners list. They claimed they had received $65,000 and gave me a phone number and email address to contact and asked for my full name and email address.
I then texted my friends outside of Messenger and asked for confirmation that I was speaking to her on Messenger. I was not, she said she had been hacked only moments before.
I did not take this any further and am reporting it.
