Scammer has you load money from a Green Dot MoneyPak card via the Green Dot MoneyPak website. www.moneypak.com Then your Moneypak Card wont load to the card number they gave you. so person on the phone gives you a number to call (there is not a easily located telephone number on the official MoneyPak site to contact them). The person identifies themselves as a Green Dot customer service employee. You explain your problem. They explain the only way to get your money back is via a refund since the retailer who sold you the card is not responsible to refund your money. You provide the number on the back of the MoneyPak card along with your address so they can mail you a refund check in 7 to 14 days.
I called the number several days later to check on status of refund to only find out the number is not in service. I called another number for Green Dot phone number but there is no way to reach customer service.
I fell for a scam and I never used or heard of Green Dot MoneyPak cards prior to this. I will never use them again and hope others never use them for any reason.
