Type of a scam Debt Collections
Repeated calls using what appears to be a ‘local’ state phone number. Recorded, scripted voice is increasingly threatening about failure to comply and if you do not respond, they will have no choice but to turn the information over to some other ‘higher’ source making it sound as if legal actions might became necessary. You are then left with an 800 number call back. As I am not in debt, believe this to be a ‘phishing’ scam seeking info that can then be used for theft or other negative purposes.
