Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I had listed a piano for sale on my local buy sell trade sites. Had a man send me a message via Facebook messenger saying that his wife was really interested in the piano and to please send her an email. I did and we communicated back and forth via email and I gave them my name, address and Cell number for contact. They said they were sending a cashiers check and to let them know when it was deposited. Later on they said they were having a mover pick up the piano and other things close to me for their new apartment and to give the mover the extra money they sent me on the cashiers check!! When i received the check it was for $1,944 and I was only selling the piano for $500. I knew right away that it was a scam and did not cash the check.
